The media of previous generation may have referred to newspaper, magazines, and books. Today, the media include online-global networking systems (Twitter, Facebook, you tube). The music culture has moved beyond musical exchange to include the marketing and selling of culture, lifestyle and products. We live in the complex world that holds potential for increasing participation and citizenship through mediated culture (as blogging and global networking).

There is relationship between media and culture. The first one, it is process by which one learns about culture around them and then accepts it as norm. In other words person brought up in certain part of town in which is dominated by certain culture and in order to fit in whether you deliberately or unintentionally start acting, talking, dressing and accepting it as normal for you would be enculturation.  Media influences targeted cultures by television, radio, music, advertising, etc. Our children pick up everything around them. As a young person, they pick up on what their parents and siblings do and when they get into school, they will pick up culture from their peers. For instance, back in the 70's society was still segregated. If you lived in white area and you were of different culture or ethnicity and grew up with this culture. You ended up acting and growing up learning that culture and thinking it as being the norm. When you came into a big city. It was surprising to still see so much segregation and being made fun of for being different. Now days, because there is so much diversity and the mass media, all races end up listening to the same songs, watching the same movies and seeing the same movie stars. One is clearly socialized into popular culture through the media, films, fashion, dance, etc. Socialization makes up a big part of enculturation. As generation change so does the mass media in forming our children. They do listen to the media whether we believe it or not. Whether, it is a teacher, news, friends, etc., children listen to media and probably have more access than we as adults.

The second one, media help to transforming or subverting the culture. For example, through of the radio, internet or T.V. The people can carry their culture for other and other can understand the principles of other culture and learning about them. Also, people use media to save their culture and it will develop and not die during of the time.

The third relationship between them. The media has helped to change the cultures of many counties whether in good or bad. For example, through of the film or drama, many people are impact by it and they start to get substance abuse or smoking, especially on Arabic societies which impact by the culture of the foreign countries. Also that, the other moral that change by media on culture as attitudes of people. For example, they will become more violence during of watching the violence film from the TV.
The fourth relationship between media and culture, the media help to spread the culture among people. For example, the USA use the media to spread its culture among the people, so we see many people in the world effect by its culture and it became dominate on the world.
The last one, the rise of power and authority of media has accompanied the seeming decline in power and authority of culture. For example we see the domination of the media on our world give it power to control on the people and shape them as it wants.

To sum up, media is refers to various means of communication as , television, radio, and the newspaper. The culture is consist our behaviors, attitudes and habit. Thus there are relationship between them as transferring our culture through of the media and showing it for the world. Furthermore, media changes of many aspects of many cultures. Moreover, it led us to learn about other culture during of it.
